Our Mission

WICEN WA is a volunteer organization dedicated to providing emergency communications services to the community. We develop and maintain a trained network of skilled amateur radio operators who are ready to support government agencies, emergency services, and the community during times of emergency, disaster, or special need.

What We Do

WICEN WA provides:

  • Emergency Communications Support - Radio communications when traditional infrastructure is unavailable
  • Community Event Support - Communications for marathons, festivals, and public gatherings
  • Training & Development - Programs to develop skilled radio operators and emergency responders
  • Equipment & Infrastructure - Maintained radio equipment and communications networks
  • Rapid Response - Trained volunteers ready to mobilize quickly when needed
